He shot for 152 overall, one stroke off of first place but a whole three strokes ahead of third place, an incredible performance put on by Duffin. Grant Little and Wiley Hickerson also led the pack, tying each other for fourth place. Little shot 80 both rounds for a score of 160, while Hickerson shot 78 and 82, also ending up at 160. Toby Matson ‘26 shot 164, tying for fourteenth and Garrett Boggs shot 166 tying for eighteenth.

With five Scots finishing in the top 20, the Scots blew the competition out of the water, shooting 636 overall, a whole 14 strokes above the second place Bob Jones University.

When asked about how it felt, Captain Kenny Duffin said: “Yeah, winning my first event as a Scot let alone it being our first program win in five years was amazing.” He continued: “One thing we have really been working on this season is our mental toughness on the course and this win shows the great progress we have made in just one season. We played in some of the worst conditions I’ve faced in my golfing career at this tournament, so to win this tournament was all about what team could stay focused and mentally tough for the two days of play. As the captain, it was really awesome to see the guys fighting for every shot and not giving up even when there were tough moments. And the fact that we were able to do that in the worst conditions only gives me more confidence for how we are going to play in good conditions.” Duffin finished by saying,  “I am very excited to see how we finish out this season and match up with the other teams in our conference at the conference event in April.”

A huge congrats to the Scots golf team, and best of luck finishing out the season!
