It’s been a whirlwind of an offseason in the MLB and we’ve only got a few more weeks to wrap our minds around it. Thanks to the transaction-happy owners, we need to sit down and simplify (like, down to 5 words) the consequences of all of these deals. So whether you’re a new fan of the MLB, an old fan trying to figure out what happened over the last few months, or a significant other trying to act like you know what you’re talking about, this article should meet your needs. There’s also a chance that citing any of my opinions on these teams will just make you sound ignorant around your MLB-savvy friends, but that’s a risk I’ve come to terms with.

With college football finishing, and NFL season winding down, the sports landscape is quickly shifting into a time when basketball comes to the forefront of significance. No longer must we suffer through a week fourteen matchup of the Titans and the Giants, but can now channel surf and see our favorite college and NBA teams playing most nights a week! As much as I love college basketball, I have always been and always will be a sucker for the NBA. ever since I was six years old and watched my beloved Memphis Grizzlies battle the Los Angeles Lakers in 2001, and win a thriller in overtime–I was hooked. It’s rugby time again on Lookout Mountain and the Covenant College Rugby Club is looking to rebuild after it graduated nine starters from last year’s team. Still a very young program, the team persevered to fight through a tough start to the season last year. The club’s determination paid off, with the team managing to win multiple rugby matches in one season for the first time in club history, picking up resounding victories over Bryan College and UTC.
