Talking, so much talking, and for what? At what point does action get involved? We were given the tools to help this world and yet we stand around with hands behind our backs. Yelling at one another as the enemy draws near. The Word is our weapon against the forces of darkness. Those who call themselves scholars carry swords embellished with gold and engravings of silver with the metal polished to where one can see their own reflection. The blade is dull. The greatest weapon we have in our arsenal, treated like an accessory. What good is our knowledge if we do not use it? The cries of the oppressed and persecuted echo throughout. Yet they are drowned out by the bickering amongst ourselves. Causing divide over the most frivolous things. Breaking apart the church over theological maybes rather than absolutes that should be what really matters. Instead, we are pointing our swords at one another while our enemies circle us like vultures. Waiting for us to destroy each other so they can pick the bones. The only way to stop them is a united front. We could have the strength of a tidal wave, and yet we are stagnant. Modern day Pharisees, who care more about the law than the people that follow it. There is value in learning these things. But wisdom without action is just talk. What good is a sword if you never use it? We are not saved by our works; however, we cannot grow complacent. We have a job to do. The cries of the weak will not go unheard. Iron sharpens iron. We must carry our crosses together. For we can only win if we fight alongside each other, putting aside our differences so that we may be united against the forces of evil. Hold us over the flame, LORD, to temper and sharpen us for the battles that are to come.
