Impacts of Hurricane Ian

“A catastrophe of biblical proportions.” This is how a team building the Margaritaville Beach Resort in Fort Myers, Florida, described the tragedy that occurred. On September 29th, a category 4 hurricane known simply by the name “Ian” struck the southwest tip of Florida. As the death toll continues to climb, Hurricane Ian has become the deadliest storm to hit Florida since 1935. With over 105 Floridians confirmed dead, the effects of the disaster are only just beginning to be reckoned with.

On a cloudy Saturday, the Scottish Highland Games returned to Covenant College for the first time in three years. Perhaps you are organized, or a natural leader, or really just get a kick out of serving behind the scenes? What if you just love hearing what people have to say and you feel really called to be a voice that can lift the smaller and quieter voices up? If you identify with any of this, then I think you should consider running for a position on Covenant’s Student Senate.
