Homecoming through the Eyes of an Alum

On September 14 and 15, hundreds of Covenant alumni returned to the mountain to celebrate Homecoming 2018. The weekend kicked off with chapel on Friday led by Chaplain Grant Lowe, and culminated in a fireworks show on Saturday night at Scotland Yard. Events scheduled in between included Jazz on the Overlook, soccer games, residence hall visits, and more.

Over the course of last year, a number of students and faculty engaged with speakers in events and meetings across campus concerning race, culture, and ethnicity. On April 4th, 2018, Covenant invited Dr. Jiewon Baek, Assistant Professor of Foreign Language at Covenant College, to speak in the “Reformed for What?” faculty lecture series.

Great Hall Ceiling Crumbles on Student, Sparking Conversation on Safety

On the evening of February 19, a piece of the ceiling in the Great Hall fell onto a student, knocking her to her knees.Freshman Michaela Lenk was standing in front of the fire place in the Great Hall, waiting in line for dinner, when she heard a loud sound and felt something hit her head. She fell to the ground and was quickly surrounded by a crowd.
